ABOUT STUDIO CLASSES:

Studio classes are $475 for the 2009 SPRING TERM. We have NOT raised our prices, the SPRING 2009 semester is 3 weeks/classes longer than the FALL 2008 semester. (click here for a schedule). It still breaks down to $25 per class. DROP-IN studio classes are $30 per hour. You SAVE $5 per class if you sign up for the entire semester! The SPRING 2009 Semester is 19 weeks long.

Students come one day per week.

Your student may also take PRIVATE TUTORING from Casey (A Little Artsy’s Art Director) for $80/hour or you may enroll in the semester long private lessons for $1520.

Students who register for the Monday classes will only pay $425 (17 classes). Tuesday through Thursday class is $475 (19 classes). And Friday classes are $450 (18 classes)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Casey (the Lead Instructor) will be out on maternity leave from March through the end of the semester. Her baby is due on April 12th, 2009. Please know that we will only hire the BEST replacement to teach your students during this time. We will ween off Casey from the students to avoid any problems that may arise from a new teacher.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

We will be working with different types of media such as charcoal, oil pastels, chalk, acrylic paint, tempera paints, water colors on a variety of papers such as poster-board, fiber-paper, card stock, construction paper and canvas.

WHY A LITTLE ARTSY?:

Here at A Little Artsy we not only teach kids about how to do art, we teach them how to LOVE art. The kind of love that will last for their lifetime. When they come to class, it will not feel like class. There will be aspects of their education here that college students would learn in an art history class, and they will get hands on art training that even 3 year olds can understand and conceptualize.

We do NOT do crafts at A Little Artsy and we strongly enforce “process” NOT “product”! When your student runs out the door with art flying in the wind, you will know 2 things... they had a blast, and they did the work themselves. We will not do the artwork for your student. We would rather a student come home with more paint on their face than on their project than let them walk out the door knowing that they did not paint anything themselves.

Here at A Little Artsy, we will help your student learn step by step so they can replicate their work done at the studio back at home. If you are enrolled in a semester class, we will be teaching them the classics as well as artist still living today. We break down a painting, and discover the tools, colors and methods the artist used to create it. We are very serious about curriculum, but it is taught in a fun and exciting way. You and your child will not be disappointed! We provide the teaching and environment where students receive a quality art education as well as a class setting where they are consistently building confidence in themselves.
