OUR HISTORY:
A Little Artsy was visualized in 2006 by Chris and Casey Wiegand but did not open its doors until January 7th 2008.
OUR EXPERIENCE:
Casey Wiegand, A Little Artsy’s Art Director, graduated from Highland Park High School in 2001 and went on to Graduate from Baylor University in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and Early Childhood Development. With the training she received from one of the leading Universities in Education mixed with her hands on training in the inner city school system, her teaching skills are unmatched. Casey had always been interested in art, but the timing was always working against her. It was only after a close friend recognized her talent as a Art Teacher and gave her the opportunity to mix the challenges of teaching kids with art education. And not only did she succeed, she excelled and became overcome with a sense of a true calling. She has 3 full years experience of teaching art in Highland Park, and 5 years teaching overall. Casey’s husband Chris manages the business and runs his photography studio and video production company at A Little Artsy as well.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
A Little Artsy exists to teach and inspire artisans in a comprehensive and excellent style, guiding them to express themselves artistically by learning from the masters of the past, to the modern day artists around the world. Providing a safe environment for them to learn, create, share, experience, touch, feel and visualize the process from going from nothing to something. A blank canvas to a masterpiece. Building confidence and value in themselves and the “art” of art along the way.
